Requests must be submitted by Thursday at Noon for the following Tuesday’s tour.

Important Details:

• Caravan Tours take place every Tuesday from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM (unless otherwise noted)
• Requests must be submitted by 12:00 PM (Noon) on Thursday for the following Tuesday
• Please submit one form per property
• Optional – Email a photo of your listing to troupcountybor@gmail.com so that can be included in the flyer to the membership.
• The Board office uses the submitted information to create and distribute the weekly Caravan flyer to the membership

To help create a fun and welcoming experience for attendees:

• Only one stop/house each week may host lunch
• Other stops are encouraged to provide snacks, drinks, appetizers, or dessert if they would like

Once submitted, your request will be reviewed and included in the weekly caravan lineup.

We’re excited to bring this back and make it even more efficient for everyone. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the Board office.

RPAC stands for the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. A PAC is a legal means by which interested individuals with common goals, like a trade association, ban together for the purposes of political action.

Since 1969, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC)has promoted the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is clear: REALTORS® raise and spend money to elect candidates who understand and support their interests. The money to accomplish this comes from voluntary contributions made by REALTORS®. These are not members’ dues; this is money given freely by REALTORS® in recognition of how important campaign fundraising is to the political process. RPAC doesn’t buy votes. RPAC enables REALTORS® to support candidates that support the issues that are important to their profession and livelihood.

SUPRA Key Changes!!

The ACTIVE KEY is being Phased Out!!

Beginning September 15, 2017 the Supra ActiveKey is being phased out due to outdated communication software and hardware. Effective October 1, 2017 all ActiveKeys will no longer function.

What are my options??

eKey Basic – Supra highly recommends switching to eKey on your phone. The eKey is cheaper, it is a free app you download to your smartphone or tablet, and it has additional functionality. eKey Price Sheet

Beware of Cyber Fraud

As cybercrime becomes more prevalent and cyber-criminals become more savvy, it is important to protect yourself, your customers, and clients from this kind of fraud by being aware of how cyber-criminals operate.

The GAR Forms Committee encourages agents and brokers to use the following warning in as many of their transactions (including agency and customer agreements, purchase and sale agreements and lease agreements) as possible to place their clients and customers on notice and to emphasize the importance of independently validating any wiring instructions that may be received:

Beware of Cyber Fraud.
Fake e-mails attempting to get you to wire money to criminal computer hackers are increasingly common in real estate transactions. Under this scam, computer hackers fraudulently assume the online identity of the actual mortgage lender, closing attorney and/or real estate broker with whom you are working in the real estate transaction. Posing as a legitimate company, they then direct you to wire money to them. In many cases, the fake e-mail is sent from what appears to be the authentic web page of the legitimate company responsible for sending the wiring instructions.
You should use great caution in wiring funds based solely on wiring instructions sent to you by e-mail. Independently verifying the wiring instructions with someone from the company sending them is the best way to prevent fraud. In particular, you should treat as highly suspect any follow up e-mails you receive from a mortgage lender, closing attorney and/or real estate broker directing you to wire funds to a revised account number. Never verify wiring instructions by calling a telephone number provided along with a second set of wiring instructions since you may end up receiving a fake verification from the computer hackers trying to steal your money. Independently look up the telephone number of the company who is supposed to be sending you the wiring instructions to make sure you have the right one.
